Casual & agency nurses
Home loans for casual and agency nurses
Lots of banks get nervous about casual or agency income. Some lenders are much more relaxed about it, especially for nurses with steady shifts.
- Lenders that may accept casual income after a few months in the role
- Agency and nurse bank shifts presented properly
- Help pulling together payslips and history so your application is strong
What lenders look at
Usually how long you've been working casually or through an agency, how regular your shifts are, and your year-to-date income.
Each lender has different rules. Picking the right one first saves you a knock-back on your credit file.
Working more than one job?
Plenty of nurses combine a hospital role with agency shifts. Some lenders will count both. I'll show you which ones and how much it could add to your borrowing.

Common questions
How long do I need to have been casual?
It varies. Some lenders consider casual income after a few months, others want longer. Tell me your history and I'll match you to the right lender.
Can my agency income count?
Often yes, if it's regular. Some lenders shade it slightly, which is why the right lender matters.
I'm on a 457 / 482 or other visa. Can you help?
Some lenders do lend to visa holders. It depends on your visa type and deposit. Send me a message with your details.
